3. Hell In A Cell Confirmed

After Drew McIntyre demolished CM Punk last week and sent him off bloodied on a stretcher to a hospital, the odds there would be a face-to-face follow-up this week hovered right around “nil”.

But a smug McIntyre managed to focus his aggression on an unlikely target Monday night: one of his best friends, Wade Barrett. Drew preened about how he was justified in attacking Punk last week because the Second City Saint had boasted that he was done with McIntyre after winning one match by touching four corners and thought he was entitled to challenge for the world title.

With Punk still on the sidelines, McIntyre then turned his attention to Barrett, threatening to drop him if the announcer ever tried to interfere in his business again. Drew has now sunk to the depths of alienating everyone around him because he is so completely consumed with destroying Punk.

But have no fear, Raw GM Adam Pearce turned up to refocus Drew and inform him that their little feud would continue… for one more match. He announced the expected Hell in a Cell for Bad Blood, which now feels earned given the progression of the rivalry and where things stand right now with a battered Punk out of action and a smug McIntyre wanting to move on.

If the strap match and beating last week are any indication, this cell match should be the high point of the feud.
