Earlier, this article had a right good moan about the pointlessness of Michael Cole getting into KO's cosy rental car, listening to him rant about the same old stuff, then getting booted back out into the cold. WWE made up for that mediocrity by having Owens come back to haunt Cody straight after the headliner. He stomped on Rhodes' bad ankle, then the friends turned enemies worked ye olde pull apart brawl angle.

Fans chanting, "Let them fight! Let them fight! Let them fight!" will be music to everyone's ears.

This dude is a big fan of Owens being a dirtbag by wearing a Dusty t-shirt for this segment, and he's an even bigger fan of Rhodes refusing to take the abuse. He's hurting and now has a compromised ankle to deal with heading into Saturday Night's Main Event, but you best believe Cody will come out clubberin'. He might even bring a bicycle! Right, that's enough of the Dusty on WCW comms jokes.

Kevin repeatedly finding ways to spit in the face of Nick Aldis, Triple H and other members of upper management by attacking their top stars is gripping stuff. It's even better because Owens thinks his heel behaviour is justifiable. See? This sort of thing is way more compelling than Owens ranting and raving at Cole. No, it doesn't matter how hilarious him calling MC back only to slowly put the car window up was.

People are desperate to see Kev and Cody go at it. That's remarkable, because this is a match they saw over the summer. KO's heel turn gives it a fresh wrinkle.
