7 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Aug 14)
5. 'Hair vs. Hair'
Mandy Rose has somehow traded being an airhead, arrogant blonde for playing a more sympathetic, likeable babyface who can look past the surface to see the good in men like Otis. Meanwhile, her old pal Sonya Deville has quietly steered her way to relevance as a sneering heel.
They deserved this big blow off on pay-per-view, and they're getting it.
Bonus points go to WWE for ensuring that it was Rose who sent out the challenge for 'Hair vs. Hair'. Her promo on SmackDown was all about calling Deville's bluff and meeting adversity head on. That, hopefully, will lead to Sonya shaving Mandy bald at SummerSlam and taking one step closer to the Women's Title.
The pair have been excellent throughout this feud, and Sonya winning will only serve to strip away more of Mandy's prior ego. In fairness, either woman could win, because these gals have shown time and time again that they're capable of making the best of anything they're handed.
