3. WWE Comes Through For Santos Escobar

A beaming smile crossed this fan's face when Santos Escobar scored the match-winning pin for he and LWO pal Rey Mysterio against The Usos in SmackDown's main event. This was surely a personally-gratifying moment for Santos, and it came at the end of a really slick headliner.

That'll make it all the sweeter.

WWE had to get two things right here. Firstly, they needed to make Escobar look like an equal who was capable of winning for the Latino World Order just as much as the iconic Mysterio. Second, they had to continue The Usos' wobble amidst ongoing Bloodline turmoil.

It's really hard to argue with this kind of in-ring work or storytelling. Friday's main event was an example of harmony between wrestlers and wrestling writers. Everybody involved was on the same page, and they decided to give Santos a career-boosting win whilst also telling the most logical story.
