7 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (May 19)

4. Two Fresh Tag-Team Debuts

Two tag bouts served up joyous occasions on this week's show.

Pretty Deadly duo Elton Prince and Kit Wilson work their roles so damn well, and they sparkled opposite Brawling Brutes combo Butch and Ridge Holland. The heels have an almost New Day-ish vibe to them (in that they can be silly and heated during the same match), which is a huge compliment.

They've got endless potential, but so have Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. Their match was more of a routine squash win, but fans reacted fairly well to it and the NXT Women's Tag-Team Champions looked totally at ease inside SmackDown rings. Triple H would've been pleased to see that.

There's another reason why these matches were slotted into the same entry: It's genuinely nice to have some properly fresh faces on the main roster. Better yet, both teams have made strong starts to life beyond NXT, and there's definitely more to come.
