7. Pretty Deadly’s Comeback

Onto the good, and there was a lot of it.

Pretty Deadly's in-ring comeback hit every high note it was supposed to. Sure, their match vs. Brawling Brutes was rather one-sided up until a fake out injury angle from Elton Prince, but if you're looking for five star classics from Deadly right now then you're probably in the wrong place.

This sort of character-driven bout is the best use of them going forwards. If nothing else, at least it helps the dashing rogues stand out from other teams on the roster. Over on the Brutes side, one would suggest giving Pete Dunne something else to do soon - he's wasted as a babysitter for Ridge Holland.

Prince and Kit Wilson scored the win via shady shenanigans, and that's just fine with this writer. They should be cheating d*cks for the sake of it, and they should be able to steal their way to victories by tricking refs/other wrestlers.

Kudos to Ridge for having the smarts to tell the ref Prince was faking too. That protected Holland from the dumb babyface trope.
