7 Ups & 4 Downs For AEW Collision (Nov 25 - Results & Review)
3. Just About Right
Usually, your writer will complain about how short shrift the AEW women's division gets on AEW Collision - well, on AEW television, period - but keeping Julia Hart vs. Lady Frost short was a smart move here.
As the new TBS Champion, Hart putting Frost away in barely five minutes served as a nice display of dominance from the 22-year-old. Frost had one or two spurts of offense, and at times showed her unique, impressive athleticism, but this was a fairly paint-by-numbers first title defence by Julia. Unfortunately, there were a few slightly sloppy spots, although the general tone of the bout was exactly what it needed to be.
Also, this had the benefit of not having a picture-in-picture commercial sandwiched in the middle of the match; something AEW has a frustrating habit of doing during its ladies' bouts.
Still, could we please for once get more than one women's match on a TV show? That's something that should happen more often regardless, but even more so when you're only giving your ladies five minute of ring time.
