7 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dark (Oct 6)

4. John Silver vs. QT Marshall

John Silver
AEW

This was John Silver's first singles match in AEW, despite being on the promotion's books for close to a year. He's a great example of a guy making the most of limited screentime, getting noticed, and rising through the meritocracy, and he did it again here, besting QT Marshall as part of the extended Dark Order vs. Nightmare Family feud.

Your enjoyment of this bout may depend on your tolerance of interference spots, as Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, 5, and 10 all made their presence felt, with Silver scoring his win on the back of the last spot. Regardless, there was plenty to enjoy here. Silver is a quietly great pro-wrestler with a well-rounded skillset and always worth watching.
