4. Awesome Kong Does Not Look Great

Awesome Kong
FITE TV

In about the only match Awesome Kong looks remotely capable of pulling off, she squashed Miranda Alicea in seconds - and didn't much look like a killer in the process. She looks only OK when striking with the spinning back fist, which is a worrying omen, since it doesn't require a great deal of movement. The impact itself didn't look like it was anywhere near removing Alicea's head from her shoulders. This wasn't Aja Kong on RAW in 1995. In the post-match, the Nightmare Collective again cut off the victim's hair.

Perhaps they are using to to fashion a wig of sorts for the strange bald man that accompanies Brandi in her inset promos.

This angle can only invite scorn and memes, and is so awful that you have to expect Tony Khan, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks have a separate WhatsApp group dedicated to bantering it off and wondering how to not make it happen anymore.

Brandi is actually a really, really good promo, it's just she seems to have this idea, an awful one, AEW is indulging it, and it's diminishing any value Kong may have as a special attraction.
