2. AEW Dark? Is That You?

Hangman Page vs. Cezar Bononi was a perfectly solid pseudo squash that had no real place on last night's Dynamite. There was no reason for it to be here other than to give Page a relatively convincing win, so why not throw it on Dark or Elevation?

With no clear character or storyline considerations (other than Ryan Nemeth and JD Drake watching from ringside), this was the latest in a growing line of Dynamite matches that would have been more at home on YouTube than TNT. The trend is moderately worrying.

For Bononi vs. Page to exist in this space convincingly, it could have used something, anything, to set it up. A simple angle on a previous show would have sufficed. Sadly, it goes down as record-padding filler without that.
