7 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite: St. Patrick's Day Slam (Mar 17)

2. The Pinnacle

The Pinnacle
AEW

A home-run promo from MJF and his new stable, here, as The Salt of the Earth outlined his intentions after revealing the faction's name: The Pinnacle.

It's a short, snappy monicker, and entirely appropriate. Good choice.

The lads looked tremendous in their suits, both as they emerged from a private jet and stood in the ring later on. Tully Blanchard kicked things off in typically excellent style, saying he got his break with the greatest group in wrestling history (the Four Horsemen) 30 years ago, and now, he'd finish his career in the new greatest group in wrestling history. A perfect appetiser for MJF's entrée, and Max knocked it out of the park.

MJF outlined his dastardly plan, ran through the ruse, buried Chris Jericho with insults, and put his entire stable over one-by-one, including himself. When they're finished, he'll be the GOAT, not Jericho, and they're here to take whatever the hell they want - starting with The Inner Circle's old locker-room.

Not having The Inner Circle around to respond was a wise move to sell last week's beatdown. The Pinnacle looked and sounded great here, planting their flag with a big-time promo from a big-time star.
