7 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite: St. Patrick's Day Slam (Mar 17)

3. Stand & Under Deliver

Brian Cage Sting
AEW

Sting and Darby Allin have now reverted to the repetitive form exhibited early in the Revolution build, with the duo hitting the stage, cutting promos with Tony Schiavone, getting interrupted by whoever they're going to be working with, and not getting their hands dirty.

It happened last week and it happened again here. Still, there were positive notes. Allin acknowledged that his TNT Title had been put on the backburner since winning it in November and vowed to become a fighting champion, paying tribute to Brodie Lee by issuing an open challenge to whatever Dark Order member wanted to set up. John Silver answered that call later on, setting them up for next week.

The rest of this? Confusing.

Lance Archer is suddenly a heel again. His and Jake Roberts' interruption of Allin and Sting saw them warn of a coming change and threaten to put Darby in a coffin. Out came Team Taz soon after, with Brian Cage breaking rank, upsetting his stablemates by showering Sting with praise after their Street Fight, saying he's still the Icon.

Teasing tension in Team Taz seems like an odd choice, given their strength as a unit. It's hard to get excited about the prospect of them bickering (or even splitting).
