7 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Mar 24)
6. Best Showing Yet?
Since arriving in Impact Wrestling, Reno Scum have never exactly been classed as one of the premier teams in the division, but their match this week against Dez and Wentz from The Rascalz was perhaps their best showing in the company. Every little part of the match added together to make it an excellent outing for Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend, made even better by the fact they, rather surprisingly, came out victorious.
From the pre-match beatdown to cutting off Dez from tagging out for the majority of the match to their finishing move so nasty it could be classed as attempted murder, it was everything you could've asked for from Thornstowe and Legend. A huge lariat from Luster flipped Dez a complete 180 degrees, before the Scum Stomp finished him off, a truly devastating move in its own right.
It was a fairly simple match, but it established Reno Scum as a dominant force within Impact's doubles division. On paper, they may look like two brutes, but in reality, they've never been anything special because the booking simply hasn't allowed for it. Hopefully this wasn't just a one off fluke victory for Ace Austin's pals.
