7 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Nov 12)

1. Tag Titles Match Delivers

Another epic match has been contested in Impact's tag team division *gasp*.

It's something that the company prides itself on. Thanks to the likes of LAX and The Lucha Bros rebuilding the tag division over the last 12 months, the platform has been provided for The North to show everyone why they are fully deserving of being the World Tag Team Champions. That fact was proved perfectly in their main event bout against Eddie Edwards and their recent rival Marufuji.

As they always do, Page and Alexander used some exquisite tag team offence to weaken their challengers, whereas the two former GHC Heavyweight Champions relied on their speed and agility in an attempt to become the new tag champs. Edwards, a former multi-time champion in Impact in his own right, very nearly scored the win for his team with both a Blue Thunder Bomb and a Tiger Driver, but would eventually be planted into the mat with an assisted Spinebuster as The North retained.

The North have got to be one of, if not the most underappreciated tandem in professional wrestling today. They put on banger after banger in both singles and tag team action, yet you never hear people throwing their names around when the topic comes up of stellar tag teams.

As long as they keep performing at this level though, they should have no problem earning their way into consideration for that accolade.
