7 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Nov 12)

2. A New Challenger Enters

After coming out successful in a six way match, Trey of The Rascalz now finds himself with an opportunity at Ace Austin and the X Division Championship at Hard To Kill on 12 January, with the champ sitting in on commentary for the bout.

Aside from The Rascalz member, we also had Willie Mack, Petey Williams, Rohit Raju, Aiden Prince, and Brent Banks to fill out the rest of the field, providing the perfect mix of talent to put on an enthralling showcase of the X division. Once all six men had entered, the action failed to slow down one bit, at least until the culmination of the match.

Everyone started nailing some huge moves from their arsenal, with Banks utilising a reverse Frankensteiner, whereas Prince flew off the top rope with a wonderfully-executed 450 splash. Williams downed Raju with his famous Canadian Destroyer, which appeared to be the match-ending move, only to find himself rolled up by Trey for the win.

It's about time Trey gets the spotlight shone on him. Seeing as it's typically Dez and Wentz who tag together during the two on two bouts, Trey is often left to go out on his own. As a result, the X Division Championship seems a natural fit for him. Let's just see if he has what it takes to lift the title.
