7 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Oct 13)
4. The Streak Continues
Tedious rules aside, the opening match with the Knockouts tag team division on display was a fantastic display.
Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie are really coming into their own as a team, Havok and Nevaeh are two behemoths who never fail to amaze, and Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz are continuing to be shady and tactile in their offence. The way Hogan and Steelz refused to tag in until the opposition had been weakened was a small, but important detail that helped develop the match's narrative.
There was a bit of something for everyone here, too. From 'Wera Loca' dishing out a nasty backdrop driver to 'The Hottest Flame's' incredible suicide dive, there wasn't much to hate in terms of in-ring action. Long story short, everything here came together to make for a tremendous contest.
Rosemary's Wing Clipper to Steelz ended the match, and also continued her and Taya's winning streak. At the time of writing, the new tandem have won three matches in a row - once here, and the other two times over both of the opposing pairings in standard tag action. Should the Knockouts Tag Team Championships be reintroduced, they have to be high up the pecking order to be the first champs.
