7 Ups & 4 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Aug 2)

5. Proving Himself

When Daga was revealed as Santana's replacement in The LAX while he was out injured, Ortiz wasn't best pleased. He didn't believe Daga had it in him to be a member of The Latin American Xchange. After what happened at the conclusion of this week's episode however, Ortiz may be regretting his words.

Ortiz ambushed The North with a trash can lid while they came back through the curtain following their outstanding match with The Rascalz, but the World Tag Team Champions easily fought back with the two on one advantage. That's when Daga popped in, taking out both Ethan Page and Josh Alexander with the trash can lid, standing tall over them alongside Konnan to end the show as Ortiz stormed off.

If this proved anything, it's that Daga is more than capable of being a member of The LAX. No matter how much Ortiz may hate that fact, he has to live with it. Plus, his current goal is the World Tag Team Championships - how does he plan on regaining those without a tag partner? It's a logistical thing too.
