7 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (17 Feb - Results & Review)

Downs…

4. The Celebrities Are Out

Stop. Just stop telling fans how every B, C, and D-list celebrity under the sun loves WWE and just happens to be hanging out to watch Raw.

It’s one thing if Raw is in Philadelphia and the Super Bowl champion Eagles are front row. Or they’re in New Jersey and Bruce Springsteen is ringside. But Monday night, WWE felt the need to show fans that a few Netflix series stars were in attendance, including a couple of women from a reality dating show.

This has become a weekly occurrence, and while some of the celebrities are pretty notable, it’s rapidly becoming extremely annoying and nothing more than navel-gazing from a company that excels at it.

Please, either stop this practice or slip them into the commercial breaks and then post the clips to social media. But stop breaking the show up to point the camera at two women drinking out of gold-plated wine glasses, as if any wrestling fan actually cares or believes for a second that they’re regular Monday Night Raw viewers.
