6. A Positive Outlook For AJ

All it took was one errant spear to Dominik Mysterio to make AJ Styles versus Bron Breakker feel like a hot feud on the horizon.

Moments after Styles had dispatched with Dirty Dom, Breakker slid into the ring to try to get the drop on AJ. But Styles sidestepped Bron, who speared Mysterio, allowing AJ to drop Breakker with an enziguri. Bron took a powder while AJ held the ring, and both men looked at the Intercontinental Championship, letting even the densest fan know what’s coming next.

Styles’ return match was decent but not great, but his first real feud could be electric. Breakker’s hard-charging style will force AJ to use a combination of strikes, high-flying offense, and use some old-fashioned veteran cunning to overcome the champ. That could make for a compelling match between the two.

The crowd reaction told you that they want to see this match, and that in itself is a victory. Regardless of outcome, this could be a fun rivalry if played correctly.
