7 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (2 Dec - Results & Review)

2. Just A Match

There’s really not much to say about the women’s tag team match. In some ways, it was almost forgettable by design, lumped between the opening segment and women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament match, and then completely overshadowed (along with everything else) by the New Day’s 10th-anniversary debacle.

Still, Damage CTRL versus Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez should have felt like a bigger deal than this, considering Morgan is the Women’s World Champion and Iyo Sky is the number one contender. Unfortunately, things did not go smoothly during this match, with a few sloppy moments and “just there” vibes throughout.

It all seemed to be in service of reminding fans that Iyo and Liv will face off at Saturday Night’s Main Event, and to set the stage for Rhea Ripley battling Raquel after the match. That scuffle ended when Rodriguez sent Ripley face-first into the edge of the announce desk, presumably reinjuring her orbital socket.

This wasn’t bad, but fans would be forgiven if they turned off Raw after the end and completely forgot that this match happened.
