5. A Surprisingly Good Six-Person Tag

On paper, American Made versus Alpha Academy felt like it should have been little more than a squash, with the Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile making short work of Chad Gable’s former stablemates.

Instead, they had a fun, competitive match that defied initial expectations. Otis and Akira Tozawa stopped doing their little comedy routines and acted like two men pissed off at their former leader and his new charges, and it worked. Even Maxxine Dupri performed well, hiding in plain sight and accentuating her best moves in short bursts before succumbing to Ivy’s Dragon Sleeper.

The dynamic of Julius and Brutus being two athletic meatheads running through everyone, Otis being the one guy big enough to out-hoss the Creeds, and Tozawa’s speed and deceptive strength contrasting with everyone else worked extremely well here.

Good stuff from both teams, and a much-needed win for American Made before they step back into the fray against the Wyatt Sick6 again.
