3. Reed Finally Finds A New Gear

WWE clearly has wanted Bronson Reed to be a new monster on Raw, but they’ve struggled to have him come across as a threat of any real kind – just more of a nuisance with minimal presence.

Monday night, Reed raised a solid point in confronting Raw GM Adam Pearce about not getting a match despite defeating Sheamus last week. He left that meeting with the mindset that he needed to create his own path to the top, which makes perfect sense after watching Bron Breakker run amok and get rewarded with the Intercontinental Championship.

A short time later, Bronson jumped Seth Rollins and laid him out with a quick and vicious attack, then proceeded to deliver Tsunami after Tsunami, flying over referees and officials who were tending to a downed Rollins. He dropped six Tsunamis in all, with the crowd rising up with each successive splash to a crescendo.

Reed desperately needed a night like this, to find a new gear where he comes across as dangerous rather than just a big man WWE wants you to fear. For this one segment, Reed felt bigger than he has during his entire main roster run. Whether they can maintain it is an open question, but this was a good start.
