Ups…

7. Chelsea’s Comeuppance

Asuka Chelsea Green

Whether Chelsea Green’s new character is an entitled superstar with delusions of grandeur or simply a Karen, seeing her get under Adam Pearce’s skin multiple times and then get punished with Muderclown Asuka was a thing of beauty.

Shorter version of this has to be Pearce saying, “F*** around and find out.”

Green threatened to call Adam’s manager if she didn’t get a match, but she probably wasn’t counting on the Empress of Tomorrow, who (save for a ridiculously long period on the mat so Chelsea could trashtalk wrestlers who were ringside) ran through the newcomer in minutes.

This version of Asuka could be a lot of fun. You just hope they give the new character time to develop and acclimate with fans, as it’s not just the same Asuka with facepaint, but a different persona too.

And delusional Chelsea could be a lot of fun, provided they don’t book her to be simultaneously incompetent. Losing to surprise opponent Asuka is acceptable. Slipping on a banana peel to Dana Brooke is not.
