6. Brock Can’t Get Bobby Out Of His Head

Brock Lesnar never was a promo guy. He always had Paul Heyman to work the mic, and why wouldn’t you have one of the best ever do it for you?

But Lesnar has proven himself capable of handling the stick, including Monday night when he talked about being unable to get “Bobby Who?” out of his head. Whether it was while hunting, ice fishing, eating a steak or in bed with his wife (four or five hours later, mind you), he could only think about Bobby Lashley.

All of this presumably sets up a match between the two at Elimination Chamber, with Lesnar offering him a contract, and Lashley saying he’s going to have his agent, manager and lawyer look at it before deciding whether to sign it. Lesnar retorted by hitting an F-5 on Bobby and tossing the contract on top of him.

On paper, Lesnar/Lashley should be a money match, but the first two have had unsatisfying conclusions. There’s always a chance they can capture lightning in a bottle and have a classic, and both men are tremendous in the ring, so we’ll give this a cautious “up” this week on hope alone – and Lesnar’s great line about being in bed with his wife and picturing Lashley.
