7 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (Aug 15)

3. Back To Square One

If you forgot about Veer Mahaan, don’t feel bad; WWE apparently did too.

Mahaan had his first singles bout on Raw in two months on Monday, defeating jobber Beaux Keller in short order to relative silence. This came after his last run, which saw him beat both Mysterios in separate singles matches in June.

It’s not that this is a bad thing or that the match itself was bad – a squash is a squash – but seeing Veer doing the same thing he was doing four months ago is a bit disheartening. Maybe there’s an actual plan for him under this new regime, but until we see something other than the same old, same old, we’re going to be cautiously pessimistic on this one.
