The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament continued Monday night with another quarter-final match that produced one of the least-surprising results imaginable.

The tag match pitting Alexa Bliss & Asuka against Nikki ASH & Doudrop was looking like a clumsy, tentative affair in its opening moments, but the wrestlers recovered nicely in the second half of the contest. The outcome was never really in doubt, especially with Dakota Kai & IYO SKY facing the winners.

Things got interesting though with some good pinfall breakups and near-falls, but the end saw Bliss and Asuka rack off a flurry of tags and quick, impactful moves on Doudrop, finally chopping her down to size before Asuka locked in an armbar of sorts to get the tap-out win.

The match wasn’t memorable, but the fact it happened and went down with a clean win was enough to merit an “up” here.
