7 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (March 12)

Ups...

7. A Worthy Sacrifice

Apollo Crews Big E

Right, time to think positive.

Sami Zayn stealing 'King' Corbin's thunder was a hidden gem moment on this week's SmackDown, and the conspiracy theorist then went on to have a solid match with the returning Big E. After that, Apollo Crews attacked the New Day man from behind and staked him claim for an IC Title shot.

Whilst definitely predictable, this was fine booking. Crews has more heat, E looked good in his win over Sami, and Zayn's outraged conspiracy rants can continue. It was also a bonus that Apollo didn't bring that regrettable spear from last week - WWE need to realise that the prop adds nothing to his gimmick.

Zayn can bounce back from a loss like this too. He got enough of an offensive flurry to look decent, and it's hardly a problem that the reigning Intercontinental Champion is picking up victories. Now, WWE can move on from Sami vs. E for good and focus more on Crews.
