7 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dynamite (May 6)

4. Lance Archer Does It Again

Another week, another tremendous piece of Lance Archer booking, as 'The Murderhawk Monster' made QT Marshall his latest squash victim with EBD Claw.

The bout's neat setup and execution highlight all that's great about the AEW booking machine when everything clicks. Marshall's ties to Cody and Dustin Rhodes made him the perfect guy for Archer to maul last night, continuing the ongoing storyline in the process. As Big Dust's tag partner, it's understandable that he'd want to step up to the plate against Lance, even though he was doomed. QT has also performed admirably in such losing roles in the past, quickly establishing himself as a sympathetic underdog. Now, all Lance has to do is slay The Nightmare Family's patriarch. He has already killed everyone else.

This was everything it should have been. Not a single complaint.
