7 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dynamite (May 6)

6. Darby Allin Has Much To Learn

Darby Allin Taz
AEW

Not much to analyse here, but Darby Allin and Taz's brief backstage segment was well-played, with the AEW analyst offering his services to help pick Allin's losses apart and take steps to improve, hopefully allowing him to move up the ladder in the wake of his latest Cody loss.

Darby didn't say a word here. Instead of responding to Taz, he swatted the microphone away and walked off in a huff, leaving his next move unclear.

This is good presentation. Allin should be presented as somebody with much to learn because that's his character. He's exciting as all hell but still has holes in his game-planning, and partnering with somebody who can help him work on those makes a lot of sense.

Tully Blanchard might be the sexier option, though. Imagine the storytelling possibilities...
