7 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Nov 11)

3. Lights On, Sanctioned

Kenny Omega
AEW

Interviewed by Alex Marvez as he was seemingly trying to leave Daily's Place, Kenny Omega's promo wasn't blow-away great, but it established the perfect narrative for his upcoming match with World Champion Jon Moxley.

'The Cleaner', 'The Beast Bout Machine', 'New Japan Kenny', and the wrestler who held top position, titles, and magazine covers was back. Omega has proven that he never really left. Now, he was going to face Moxley in a real wrestling match. There is no record of them having singles competition in a regular match with regular rules, as Moxley's Full Gear 2019 win was unsanctioned, so after Kenny stepped into Moxley's realm last year, it's time for a role reversal in 2020.

This is the exact story AEW, Omega, and Moxley needed to tell with this match, as it plays perfectly on the differences between the two characters, particularly with Mox coming out of such a brutal, bloody pay-per-view bout. He's going to have to wrestle on 2 December. The lights will be turned on this time.
