3. Nia Squashes Raquel

That’s not an entirely fair description. Raquel Rodriguez held her own against Nia Jax before the Irresistible Force picked up the win.

Jax has been cutting a path through the women’s division since returning to WWE this fall, but Rodriguez was her biggest challenger to date. In addition to being able to match Jax’s strength, Raquel was faster and could use that quickness to her advantage.

Nia smartly targeted her back, hitting a Samoan Drop into the post and attacking her spine and midsection. That played into the finish, where Raquel tried to counter an Annihilator with a powerbomb, only to collapse and get squashed.

The match worked, giving Jax an important win (especially if she’s going to battle Rhea Ripley at Royal Rumble), and allowing Rodriguez to have a good showing in defeat. Nice job overall.
