7 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (24 June - Results & Review)

3. A Strange Recruitment Tactic

Karrion Kross Kofi Kingston

For weeks, the Final Testament has been trying to convince Xavier Woods to defect from New Day and join their group. Naturally, the best way to do that after weeks of courting would be to simply beat him senseless backstage… because reasons.

Kofi Kingston battled Karrion Kross in a space-filler of a match that was mercifully short. Still, that brevity couldn’t prevent the bout from being a drag on the show, with Kofi losing after being distracted by Authors of Pain attacking Woods while Paul Ellering asked Kingston if “it was all worth it?”

And that was it.

Soulless wrestling, an angle that plays out to silence every week and a nonsensical beatdown… sounds like pure garbage.
