7 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Dynamite: Thanksgiving (24 Nov)

Long portions of last night's episode of Dynamite felt like a mediocre WWE Raw show.

This was primarily a structural issue. In total, four matches involved some kind of interference (CM Punk vs. QT Marshall, Gunn Club vs. Bear Country, Jamie Hayter vs. Rebel, and FTR/Malakai Black/Andrade El Idolo vs. PAC/Cody Rhodes/Lucha Brothers), there were three interrupted backstage segments, as well as stories that carry no weight, like Cole and Fish's argument with Best Friends.

This made for a disappointingly formulaic night on the whole. Perhaps this was by design, given the inevitable Thanksgiving slump, but lesser content is lesser content regardless of whether or it was intentional, and should be graded as such.

It's frustrating, because Dynamite, at its peak, is the best weekly wrestling show in the world.
