7 Ups & 6 Downs From Impact Wrestling Hard To Kill 2020

3. Establishing The Wrong Stars

Coming into Hard To Kill, there were three matches on the card that featured names who fans could watch in the '90s - Rob Van Dam, who was booked to face Brian Cage, Ken Shamrock, who battled Madman Fulton, and Rhino, with 'The War Machine' going one on one with Moose. Unfortunately, two of those veterans were victorious in their matches, which isn't the route we should be going down.

While you could argue that RVD was the rightful winner in his match, well, matches (more on that later), there was absolutely no need for 'The World's Most Dangerous Man' to defeat Fulton. The former SAnitY member is still waiting for that big breakout moment in Impact, and this very much could've been that moment. Instead, he tapped out to Shamrock, although it was quite a nasty-looking submission in fairness to him. Thankfully, Moose defeated Rhino in their No Disqualifications Match so it wasn't all bad news.

Impact don't usually have this much of a problem when it comes to building up their younger stars. It's just a shame they also don't have an issue in putting over the already established faces. Maybe mix it up every now and then.
