7 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw XXX (23 Jan - Review)

6. Legendary Silliness

When D-Generation X was advertised for Raw XXX, it brought back memories of the group beating up the Revival at Raw 25, a move that some fans found unnecessary and pointless.

But when DX came out Monday night for the next big anniversary show, they brought jokes… and Kurt Angle. The shtick was silly and harmless enough, but you knew they’d have to interact with some current roster members.

Cue Imperium, the perfect group to draw a contrast with the goofiness of the degenerates. And thankfully, DX didn’t even pretend to stand up to Gunther and company. They all backed down, acknowledging that their primes had long since passed, leaving it to Seth Rollins and the Street Profits to bail them out.

Yes, it was all ridiculous, but it was mostly harmless, so we’ll give it a pass here.
