Kicking off a year-long arc in magnificent fashion, even the celebration between Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan is tinged with tension when 'The Hulkster' goes anywhere near Macho Man's other prize - his other half.

With help he didn't technically ask for but couldn't have survived without, Randy Savage soared to victory over Dibiase after four sort-of gruelling matches - had he not been so happy with his lot that night, the bitterness and evil that always lurked below the surface may have exploded in Hogan's face there and then. On this night at least, the pair had the glory, the gold and the girl - together.

Some would argue to this day that WWE haven't ever told a story as well as this since, not least considering the box office success from showing enough patience to allow for some delicious symmetry the following year.
