7 Ups & 7 Downs From AEW All Out 2022

4. The Elite Wins

Kenny Omega The Young Bucks Elite AEW Trios Titles

Your tolerance for these kind of sugar rush matches will naturally vary, but everyone knows what they're going to get from bouts involving Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks by now. That threesome did their thing, and it was great to see The Dark Order keep up with them to produce a solid six-man.

Like in the women's four-way though, there was a bigger story at play.

Hangman Page accidentally blasted John Silver with his Buckshot Lariat, and that opened the door for Omega to score the pin/snag the titles. It was the right call to put those shiny new belts on The Elite, and it was nice to see a story emerge rather than straight-ahead moves, moves, moves for the sake of them.

Even Alex Reynolds got a chant from the Illinois masses, which was unexpected. Credit where it's due: Reynolds and Silver have blossomed into one of the most dependable teams on the roster. Having Hangman with them helped, but they earned this spot.
