7 Ups & 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (May 14)

2. A Fun Four-Way Dance

The four-way dance pitting Ali, Andrade, Randy Orton, and Finn Balor against one another was strong, because of course it was. That lineup, comprised of three of the most athletic/exciting wrestlers in the company and the perfect heel to ground them, is almost too good to fail, and while they didn't come together under the most imaginative circumstances, that did everything they could between the ropes.

Raw and SmackDown bouts will always be hampered by commercial breaks, the quartet did well to work around this one. Not a drop of momentum was lost as we returned from ads. It only got more exciting from there, in fact, as Ali went for his 054, only to eat an RKO for his troubles, before Andrade came in with a missile dropkick. The adrenaline kept pumping until the former La Sombra finally scored the pinfall with a Hammerlock DDT, giving him some shine following last week's reports suggesting that Vince McMahon is very, very high on him.

Even though the invading Ricochet ran Andrade off in the aftermath, it'd be cool to see him shine on Sunday. He deserves it after the awesome Rey Mysterio feud was cut off without warning.
