7 Ups & 8 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Dec 3)

5. Swingin' And Flippin'

For regular readers of these Ups and Downs columns, you'll be aware that anything involving Johnny Swinger is rarely on the Up side of things. However, this new alliance (if you can call it that) with Joey Ryan could be excellent if done correctly.

'The Swing Man' was laying down his plans to Joey, who was sat minding his own business on his phone, clearly not paying any sort of attention to Swinger. The 1980s enthusiast expressed his displeasure towards the 'kids', such as Petey Williams and Ken Shamrock, who may very well be the two most experienced members of the Impact roster right now (aside from the ECW lads). Swinger laid down a plan to form an alliance with 'The King of Dong Style' to rid Impact of guys like Williams and Shamrock, a tandem that Ryan apparently agreed to.

We're in the early stages of the story between these two, if it leads to anything other than this. While Joey didn't appear at ringside with Johnny for his match later on in the evening, that can be used to build a new arc of the story where Swinger does whatever he can to gain the attention of the master of the Dick Flip. Either that, or we'll receive a singles match between the pair.
