Then, they acknowledged their own f*ck up.

Another clash between Rollins and Wyatt several weeks later at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia was promoted as a match that couldn't be stopped "for any reason". In other words, it was a last-ditch attempt to fix the damage caused at Hell In A Cell, and tried to claw back some of the 'Fiend's' threat.

The end result was a Universal Title win that probably shouldn't have happened (gimmicks like Bray's don't really need belts) and an aforementioned slaying at the hands of Bill Goldberg. On top of all that, Seth was forced to turn heel because fans were sick and tired of his spirited face act.

Horrified by events at HIAC and Crown Jewel, people who had previously cheered Rollins on as a workhorse washed their hands of him. As good as some other changes Wyatt has provoked have been, it shouldn't be forgotten that the Rollins one was an accident.
