7 Ups & 8 Downs From One Year Of Bray Wyatt’s Fiend In WWE

1. The Gimmick Hasn't Cured Wyatt's Woes

The biggest downer for Wyatt since turning into the 'Fiend' is that it hasn't alleviated his number one problem.

Before donning a mask and branching off into multiple, wildly different personalities, Bray was a victim of WWE's repeated (surely accidental) 50/50 booking strategies that grossly undermined his threat as a heel character. That 'one week hot, the next week not' approach hasn't changed post-'Fiend' introduction.

Topsy turvy booking continues to plague Wyatt. This is a dude who turned everybody's heads with his 'Firefly Fun House' build up to the 'Fiend's' debut, performed miracles to convincingly scare an audience who has seen almost everything and then must've shaken his head when he wasn't met halfway.

The lore Wyatt has single-handedly injected his character with should be applauded. WWE's repeat disruption of his attempts to get over, and their dreaded 50/50 style, shouldn't. Bray 2020 is quickly turning into Bray 2018 with a mask.
