3. The Ballad Of Drew & Keith

Credit to WWE for making the Keith Lee/Drew McIntyre dynamic significantly more interesting last night. "Mutual respect" was a logical starting point for two babyfaces who know each other well, though having them at each other's throats after needling promos is more engaging and exciting.

Lee's interview with Charly Caruso saw him promise to do whatever he must to become WWE Champion, friendship or no friendship. McIntyre responded to this by saying he could have chosen to attack Randy Orton at any point last week but waited until Keith had been RKO'd, implying that he didn't think Lee was capable of beating 'The Viper' for a second time. Lee confronted this, McIntyre accused his opponent of twisting his words, and a brawl broke out over two segments, ending, ultimately, with Adam Pearce threatening to call the match off unless they quit it.

An effective way to dollop heat on the duo, Lee and McIntyre's issues were carried into the ring later on. Last night's developments make it feel like we're heading towards a Triple Threat. A fine proposition, particularly with this new dynamic, which lifts Lee's chances of winning considerably.
