7 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE's Road To WrestleMania 38

3. Kevin Owens Goes ‘Stone Cold’

There will be wrestling fans out there who scoffed when rumours started that Steve Austin was returning to the WWE fold. Then, those same folks would've palmed their foreheads once the promotion confirmed that 'Stone Cold' would be working a talk show 'KO Show' with Kevin Owens rather than wrestling.

The upside to all of this is that Owens has looked motivated. His solo work on the mic has been fittingly stunning at times - the double bluff he pulled on fans during that memorable Raw opening recently was as close to 'Attitude' era freedom as modern-day WWE TV gets.

It might not be a proper match, but Austin's 'Mania comeback should still be a goosebumps-inducing visual. WWE will be hopeful that Steve agrees to wrestle a match or two as well, because that's guaranteed box office waiting magic to happen.

KO has been on top form, at least.
