7 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE's Road To WrestleMania 38

7. RIP Secondary Titles

Both the Intercontinental and United States Titles could attend that pity party too.

Neither Ricochet nor Finn Bálor look like they've got a hope in hell of being part of WrestleMania. Their title reigns exist, and that's about it. The main issue here is that WWE's secondary singles straps aren't taken seriously at all; they're props, and not good ones. They've become a creative noose around someone's neck rather than a blessing.

Rico jobbed to Austin Theory in less than two minutes on Monday's episode of Raw, and Bálor is barely on television with his shiny prize. Honestly, this company would be as well ditching both the IC and US Titles at this stage. The booking for these once-proud belts is so, so sh*t.

Intercontinental Title matches used to be a highlight of 'Mania cards. Remember Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon at X? How about Randy Savage and Ricky Steamboat at III? Christ, even Seth Rollins vs. The Miz vs. Bálor at 34 was better than being completely ignored.
