7 Ups & 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Jun 11)

6. Apollo Goes After Andrade

Having recently found himself on the receiving end of a pre-Super ShowDown Andrade beatdown, Apollo Crews was out for revenge last night. He was found backstage with Kayla Braxton and claimed that when the opportunity arises, he'll go after the former 'Cien,' leading to Selina Vega's arrival.

With her charge absent following the tragic death of his mother, Vega claimed that with Andrade "already in a bad mood," it isn't wise for Crews to keep prodding him, unless, of course, he wants the former NXT Champion to "make sure he never has a match again."

Chad Gable showed up with a notebook afterwards. That was weird, but it was nice to see WWE giving Crews some screentime here. Such opportunities have become extremely rare following the Wild Card Rule's creation and strong midcard feuds are essential in propping the roster of the show up, so let's hope him and Andrade get the chance to work something meaningful when 'El Idolo' returns.
