7 Ups & 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Jun 11)
5. Alexa Knows What She's Doing
While Alexa Bliss showing Nikki Cross that Bayley had been liking mean tweets about her was the most "how do you do, fellow kids?" thing WWE creative have done in a while, and the Scot's turn from full-time crazy person to part-time crazy person has never been adequately explained, this angle is good stuff.
Of course Bliss would manipulate someone like Cross, whom she presumably sees as her intellectual inferior. She's a smart, conniving villainness, and wrapping Nikki around her little finger plays to that, with Alexa doing a thoroughly convincing job of conning Cross into "not holding back" when she met the SmackDown Women's Champion in the ring later.
This should lead to a cathartic babyface moment when Nikki finally figures out what's going on. She'll turn on the manipulator, feud with her, and hopefully overcome her, becoming a credible women's roster threat in the process. Kudos to WWE for starting it the right way.
