7. Grating And Irritating

Heel promos are supposed to evoke a reaction. But Seth Rollins’ promos are just so grating that it makes you want to change the channel.

Rollins giving his rundown of self-appointed nicknames isn’t Rock-esque – it’s obnoxious. His delivery is just irritating to the point that you would rather mute it and read a closed-caption of the promo. Even the bit where he talked about knowing Kevin Owens for years felt artificial.

There’s no denying that Rollins is a talented performer, but someone needs to sit him down and help him because this stuff doesn’t scream “future world champion;” it screams “obnoxious mid-card heel I don’t care about.”
