We’ll get to the 24/7 debacle in a bit, but it should be noted that the nWo B-team apparently joined the fray here.

Sorry, that was the Hurt Business’ Shelton Benjamin and Cedrick Alexander. Yep, Bobby Lashley’s running buddies weren’t busy trying to reassert themselves in the tag team division and win tag gold. They were flailing about with R-Truth and Akira Tozawa trying to win a title that has seen about 150 different reigns in its two-plus years of existence.

Way back when Shelton and Cedric reunited with Lashley, we were cautiously optimistic that this would serve as a way to give two wayward wrestlers some focus again. Instead, it’s clear they were brought back into the fold to serve as cannon fodder for Goldberg and nothing more.

Never mind that these two are extremely talented. Vince McMahon has decided that their geeks, so they must tangle with R-Truth and company.
