7 Ups & 9 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 8)

3. Maybe It’s Leading Somewhere…

There’s always a chance that the hijinks involving Adam Pearce setting Dominik Mysterio up to get mauled by Bobby Lashley could lead somewhere interesting, but let’s face it: the magic 8-ball says “Outlook not so good.”

Instead, we’re left with a combination of feelings about this. First, Pearce is incompetent because they named (via Twitter on a Saturday!) the teams for the men’s and women’s Survivor Series matches. That’s just lame and lazy. But then 48 hours later, Pearce had second thoughts and wanted to replace Dominik with Lashley, so he booked a match for that last spot.

That also could lead to yet another “heel authority figure” angle, with Rey Mysterio later questioning Pearce’s integrity. And so we have an incompetent heel GM.

Also, Pearce is a “WWE official” on both Raw and SmackDown, so why would he care which team wins at Survivor Series? Is he going to start subbing out wrestlers on Friday night because they haven’t been champions before?
