7 Ups And 1 Down For WWE NXT (Feb 24)

3. Gibson And Drake Break Hands And Hearts

Revealing during Zac Gibson's typically excellent pre-match promo that the pair had broken Wes Lee's hand backstage (and also been issued a hefty fine), the Grizzled Young Veterans took aim at "Shrek and Donkey", or Killian Dain and Drake Maverick as they often prefer, on this week's NXT.

Throwing around James Drake with the two's consistently hilarious tandem offence, Dain powerslammed Maverick onto their rival early on. Then, after launching GYV over the top rope, Dain would catapult his partner onto the prone two-time Dusty Cup finalists on the outside.

Sensing they needed to take Dain out of the equation to stand any chance of winning the war, Gibson laid the foundations for Drake to lay out the 'Beast from Belfast' with a dive to the outside. Maverick then soon found himself isolated in the ring, with GYV ultimately nailing him with a Ticket to Mayhem for the win.

Having GYV get back to winning ways made all the sense in the world here, and their cruel antics throughout the night have no doubt set up a mouth-watering programme with the potential new NXT Tag Team Champions. If their Vengeance Day virtual crowd popper was anything to go by, this could be something a little bit special.
